One of the leading Turkish baglama players, Kemal Dinc was born in Istanbul in 1970. He emigrated in Germany in the early 1980's, where he studied at the Rosenberg-Sulzbadh Music Vocational School and the Feix Mendelssohn Music and Theatre Academy in Liegzig. Since 2005 he has been working as a baglama teacher and artistic manager at Codarts World Music Academy in Rotterdam.
